 Plein Air Painting Competition
Artists will paint along the South Shore of Lake Superior, at Quarry and Big Pete Protected Areas, by the falls in Twin Falls Park and in scenic Port Wing.
Pre-register by June 15 to be part of the event. A listing of lodging and campgrounds is available and full details will be sent upon receiving your registration.
Painting starts on Thursday, Aug 5, check-in at Trout Run Art Gallery & Ice Cream from 8am- to noon. Entry fee is $30. Painters may enter up to 3 painting for juring. Event will culminate with a wet paint sale and exhibition in the Port Wing Town Hall on Aug 7-8. Firsxt, Second and Third cash prizes will be awarded as well as a People's Choice Award. Event will be held rain or shine. All paintings entered in the exhibition must be framed and/or matted and framed. PWABA will take a 20% commission.
The public is invited to come and be part of the fun, watching the artists paint in the out of doors. A kids art area plus artist demonstrations including painting, pottery and a wood kiln firing will take place on Saturday afternoon from 2-4:30pm before the opening of the exhibit. The exhibition will will showcase the works painted during the festival. Works will be availalbe for purchase.

Shipping of works sold at the Plein Air Exhibit will be the responsibility of the Artist. WI sales tax and a 20% commission will be retained by the PWABA
